Term 1 - Week 1
Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am taking this opportunity to welcome you to the 2025 school year. During my first weeks in the St Columba’s community, I have been welcomed wholeheartedly; by the staff, children, families and the community. It has also been wonderful to be able to meet some of you in person. The strong sense of community has been clear to me, and I look forward to my time here at St Columba’s Catholic Primary School, Yeoval.
We are so excited to welcome six Kindergarten students and one new family to St Columba’s. In Kindergarten, we welcome, Annie, Bob, Cleo, Darcy, Layla and Sophie. We also welcome Digby who is in Year 4.
Literacy and Mathematics groupings (9:00am -12:30pm) have started very positively and everyone is settling into this new school routine well - including the teachers!
School Census Day is on Friday, 14th February. Census Day is a crucial annual event where schools in the Diocese collect and report student enrollment data, ensuring accurate funding, resource allocation, and compliance with government requirements.
The St Columba's eNewsletters will be communicated to all parents fortnightly through Compass via your email address. All eNewsletters will also be accessible from the school website.
Thank you for being so supportive with this process.
Glenn Corben
Principal

Prayer
Dear Lord, as we begin this new school year, we gather as a community of believers, a family of your children. We thank you for the renewal of the past months and our safe return to St Columba’s Catholic Primary School, Yeoval. We thank you for the promise of the year ahead and for the blessing of your accompaniment.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
3-Way Swimming Carnival
The annual 3-Way Swimming carnival will be held on Friday 21st February at the Yeoval Pool Complex.
